Last year, I introduced these two subjects that are Robotics and Coding in my homeschool curriculum for my kids who are in grade 5. These two subjects are as important as any other subjects. The benefits of both the subjects in stem education are endless. I have taught just the basics in one year about these subjects and believe me, it not only changed the way of thinking of my kids but also mine. We have started to solve every complex problem with the help of critical thinking ability these two subjects have introduced in us. Both of these subjects involve project-based learning, that enhances the computing and engineering skills. For the Robotics, there are many workshops conducted in the local communities, where one can get their kid enrolled. You can at home ask your kids to make robots with the recycled materials available. It will develop their ability to think out of the box. There are many online videos available for the kids to build projects from the recycled materials. Similarly, Coding as a subject also enhances the ability of computing and problem solving. Just like Robotics, Coding workshops are also conducted in the local communities. I introduced visual coding to my kids and in just one year, they have started building games with coding.
