Want to Homeschool, Change the mindset

Most people now a days are attracted towards homeschooling. It is somehow becoming some sort of a new trend. But is it really worth it or not. If we really want to homeschool, then first we have to change our own mindsets.

Here are some things we really need to change first in ourselves, before even turning to homeschooling.

  • We have to stop comparing the life of a homeschooler with the school going kid.
  • We have to stop pushing our kids, for baseless competitions, in order to stay at top while leaving everyone behind.
  • Let our kid’s minds grow by making them caring about others, being patient, being helpful and being empathic human beings.
  • Stop pursuing the school routine in your home. Make our own routine. Stop comparing these two routines. If you will not stop comparing, then you will never achieve what you want.
  • Instill skills in your kids in early ages such as mechanics, wood works, sewing, knitting, mending etc. Don’t feel shy, this will enable your kids to mend things themselves, thus helping them to become independent.
  • Introduce new subjects in early ages to open new horizons for your kids.
  • TAKE RISKS. Don’t be scared. Even if you fail, you’ve learned something. Bring out the positive from every failure.
  • Most importantly, don’t listen to the negativity around you. “Do your own thing, and be proud of it”. Avail every possible opportunity and achieve success for your kids.
