Mujhe kyun jagaya

I’m a one sleep deprived mom. My kids don’t like to sleep. I am amazed at their energy that they can play and talk all day long and still don’t get tired. It doesn’t end here, they even don’t let me sleep too. Its a daily ritual in our house that every time my kids see me trying to take a nap or close my eyes for a few minutes, they bombard me with questions that they will never like to ask when I am awake. Our conversation goes like.
Me: trying to close my eyes and my son see’s me.
Son: mama, mama, khoon(blood) body ma kaisa chalta ha.
Me (thinking, even though I studied pre medical, not in my wits I’ll be answering it now coz I want to sleep) baita pata nai, muja sona do.
Me: again trying to close my eyes.
Daughter: mama ap ne 10 din phela wo kam nai karaya 😲
Me: later, let me sleep.
Younger daughter: excuse me mama, bhook lagi ha.
3 month old starts crying for his feed. πŸ˜’

So this is pretty much the routine every day. Even at night the little one has to wake up after sometime. People and relatives usually ask me that we don’t get to see you or meet you. Every time someone invites me, I literally count how many hours of sleep I’m going to miss when I’ll be getting back home. What a circle of life it is, when kids we think its a punishment while our parents try to put us to sleep. Now it feels like a luxury if you get one full 6 to 8 hours sleep without any disturbance. I think my kids are trying to punish me too for putting them to sleep while they want to play.πŸ˜‚

Sometimes I think that very soon I’ll be walking in my house and sitting in every gathering with a zombie face and saliva dripping out of my mouth ( not a pretty picture i painted though ) while holding a placard that says.

‘MUJHE KYUN JAGAYA’ ( just like NS) πŸ˜²πŸ˜‚

Update: yes I made this poster myself πŸ˜‚
